Working closely with the CFO and General Manager, you'll help ensure financial statements and budgets are well-planned and well-maintained, while partnering with the General Manager and Operations Manager to analyze and report on financial performance and company KPIs pulled from ServiceTitan.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives on process, precision, and people, someone who can manage upward with the CFO, sideways with department managers, and downward with an accounting team, all while keeping the books airtight.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CFO in preparing monthly financials in a timely manner.
  • Ensure company balance sheets are reconciled.
  • Prepare month-end adjusting entries as needed.
  • Ensure supporting documentation is organized and properly maintained on file.
  • Assist with monthly reporting requirements.
  • Help manage a team of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll staff.
  • Partner with all department managers to ensure financial needs are met and company guidelines are followed.
  • Assist in analyzing and reporting company KPIs and financial data derived from ServiceTitan.
  • Assist in the development of department and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all accounting practices comply with legal guidelines and established accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist with coordinating external audits, tax filings, and insurance-related financial reporting.
  • Help identify and implement process improvements within accounting systems and workflows.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior experience in a senior accountant, accounting supervisor, or assistant controller role preferred.
  • CPA or active pursuit of CPA a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field-service/CRM platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring AP, AR, or payroll staff.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar cloud-based systems) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in a multi-location service, home services, or similarly operational business environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated maturity, professionalism, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate different personality types while maintaining a positive team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
